Copyright ownership
Last updated: 24 September 2026. Buying or commissioning photography does not itself transfer copyright. Copyright remains with the photographer or other relevant rights holder unless it is assigned in a signed written agreement. A licence permits agreed uses of an image; it is separate from ownership.
Using your photographs
Our packages include a licence for personal and social-media use. The permitted use is recorded in your booking. Business, advertising, resale, sublicensing or other third-party use requires an appropriate agreed licence. Tell us where and how you want to use the photographs so the licence can fit your project.
Print release
Standard and Pro bookings include a print release for agreed personal printing. This does not transfer copyright or permit commercial resale. The Basic package does not list a print release. Any additional printing permissions are agreed in writing.
Public portfolio and promotional use
A booking or purchase is not blanket permission to use a client's photographs for advertising. Separate appropriate permission applies to promotional publication, and private domestic commissions have additional privacy protections. We never publish an image of a minor without explicit written consent from a parent or guardian.
